What to do about hidden debts or financial infidelity in marriage?

Financial secrecy is a time bomb. But restoration is only possible if both recognize that money is a symptom of a deeper idol: fear, status, compulsion, pride. If there's a pending confession, it needs to happen today, no more delay. The spouse who hid the debt will say: "I need to confess something to you about our finances. I've failed you. Here's the whole truth." No half-truths, no excuses. The receiving spouse listens without interrupting, even if they're burning inside. Then both make a master list of EVERY debt, with exact amounts and creditors. By tomorrow, get help: a trusted pastor, a Christian financial counselor, or a support program (Crown Financial, Dave Ramsey, Financial Peace). Prayer doesn't replace restructuring.

God of truth, nothing is hidden here that You don't see. We confess the sin of financial lying, out-of-control spending, and the idolatry of money and appearances. Forgive us, Lord.
