Reflection

When we think of the Garden of Eden, we often imagine a perfect paradise of rest, but it was actually the first workplace. God placed the first couple there to cultivate and care for it. Every marriage has been given a 'plot of land' to manage: our home, our resources, and our physical environment.

It is incredibly easy to fall into the trap of viewing our home or physical projects solely as a personal retreat to escape the exhausting world. We arrive, lock the door, put on our pajamas, and completely disconnect. But God's original design for our surroundings goes far beyond our simple, personal comfort.

Managing creation means reflecting God's order, provision, and peace in our tangible spaces. Whether you have an apartment balcony with a few plants, a house in the suburbs, or a large self-sustaining project in the countryside, the environment you build can and should display the Creator's beauty to those around you.
