Syncing Silos: Shared Triumphs
Audio narration — available in the app
Ecclesiastes 4:9
Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor.
Reflection
Have you ever felt like you are married to Batman? During the day, they are mysterious superheroes in their office or business, solving huge crises and saving the world, but when they get home, they take off the cape, sit on the couch, and to the question 'how was your day?', the only answer is a flat: 'fine.'
It is very easy to build 'silos' in our marriage. Silos are those big, windowless metal containers on farms. Sometimes, we turn our professional life, our entrepreneurship, or our daily work into exactly that: a tall metal tower where our spouse cannot enter, see, or participate.
This creates a very dangerous dynamic: we end up living two parallel lives. You become a brilliant professional, an efficient manager, or a tireless worker out there, but at home, your spouse feels completely excluded from that huge slice of your brain and your time. It is as if you speak two entirely different languages.
