Redeeming Sex: A Beautiful Divine Gift

Let's talk about a topic that sometimes makes us blush even in our own living room: sex. For some weird reason, we have come to believe that if we close the bedroom door, God stays outside covering His eyes. But nothing could be further from the truth. God is the grand inventor of pleasure, hormones, and our physical connection.

Unfortunately, many of us grew up in environments where the word sex was only mentioned to say 'don't do it'. This culture of fear and religious taboos taught us, consciously or unconsciously, that physical intimacy was dirty, sinful, or simply a necessary evil to have children and populate the world.

The problem with that message is that it leaves us with an emotional short circuit on our wedding day. Suddenly, we are expected to freely enjoy something we were taught to run away from in terror. It is like being given a spectacular sports car after being told for twenty years that driving is humanity's greatest sin.
